Revamping a scalable Marketplace for Twirl
Twirl faced challenges with their existing Marketplace system, struggling with scalability due to numerous integrations and limitations in data management. This project involved migrating the entire system to a more robust and scalable solution using Webflow, Wized, Xano and AWS.
Integration overload and platform limits
Twirl’s previous setup involved a complex network of integrations, including Airtable, Zapier, Memberstack, and JotForm, which resulted in a system that was not scalable. Additionally, content management and storage were hampered by platform limitations, leading to frequent system crashes and daily data cleanups.
We aimed to retain Webflow as the frontend tool, while adding Xano and Wized to streamline the tech stack, reducing the number of tools and integrations needed and enhancing both scalability and security.
Migrating to a scalable and efficient system
We designed and implemented new workflows, including a brand-new workspace for brands and agencies, a streamlined onboarding process, and an enhanced campaign creation system.
At the beginning, with thoughtful planning, we aimed to build a robust and scalable system. As we developed this new system, we encountered challenges in creating the complex logic required for the creators' and brands' apps. By using Xano and Wized provided our engineers the flexibility to address these challenges with custom code, enabling us to develop secure, tailored solutions that perfectly fit each situation.
Transition to AWS S3 for scalable and cost-efficient storage
Our team transitioned from the previous storage system to AWS S3, creating a custom storage solution that supports scalability and reduces operational costs. Now, content uploaded by creators is stored on AWS and accessible to brands, offering optimized performance and seamless growth potential over time.
Empowering customer service with Retool
To empower Twirl’s customer service team, we developed an internal admin app on Retool. This app enables the operations team to oversee essential workflows (tracking applications and campaigns, managing content and more), delivering a seamless experience for creators and brands alike.
Better UX, higher conversions and seamless operations
The new system has transformed Twirl’s platform, enhancing the user experience for creators and brands. Since launch, Twirl has seen higher conversion rates, supported by a scalable and secure infrastructure built for future growth. The internal admin app also empowers Twirl’s team to work more efficiently, reducing manual tasks and allowing greater focus on customer engagement and satisfaction.
